A veteran of three previous Walker Cup campaigns, Edwards will be the most experienced player in the GB&I line-up at Royal County Down. Having tasted success in both 2001 and 2003, when he holed the winning putt at Ganton, Edwards will be eager for a hat-trick of wins after the disappointment of defeat in 2005. A consistent performer on the amateur circuit, Edwards manages to combine his role as the Director of Player Development and Coaching at the Golf Union of Wales with toplevel competition.This season, he has won the Duncan Putter and was runner-up in the Lytham Trophy.
